Coptic Christians are the indigenous people of Egypt, with a presence that dates back more than 2,000 years. Yet today, they continue to face systemic discrimination, violence, and marginalization.
House Resolution 776 calls on the Egyptian government to take further action to promote religious tolerance and end religious discrimination against Egypt’s Coptic Christian population.
The resolution calls on the House of Representatives to:
